Food Styling using the Bolt High-Speed Cinebot

Hi All!

Scott Handel recently asked Michael Ivey and me to join the Bolt Team at Ohio HD. Our production team members are experts with the Bolt High-Speed Cinebot, the world's fastest and most precise robot used for camera movement.

Please enjoy this recent tabletop food reel created by our Bolt Team:

Feel free to contact me if you would like to spend some time in the studio making your food look spectacular.

As a food stylist, using this motion-control robot for food videos creates new possibilities and diversity for cinematography. The robot is very accurate with swift repetitive motion which is a real bonus when videoing food. The robot can be synchronized with a variety of highly functional integrations including dropping mechanisms, turntables, and lighting cues. It allows you to make adjustments and shoot the exact same motions over and over very quickly until you have the perfect shot. This is the optimal scenario for a food stylist to keep food looking fresh during multiple takes because there is minimal time needed between retakes.

In my career, I work with food photographers/videographers who use tripods and hand held techniques, but this robot experience has opened so many more possibilities. When you connect a Phantom Flex4K high-speed camera to the robot, which is capable of taking 1,000 4K frames per second, the only limitations seem to be your team’s creativity.

The Bolt Cinebot is easily portable with minimal space requirements. If you are interested in all the ins and out and technical jargon, feel free to contact Scott at Ohio HD. He’s a real pro, very knowledgeable and easy going. I’m sure he would be happy to help you find all the answers to your questions.

I would like to thank the following people on our team for their hard work and dedication to this project:
