Sesame-Baru Nut Butter Recipe
This can be made as a regular recipe... not a plant-based (vegan) recipe, by substituting real butter for the Miyoko's vegan butter. They both taste great!
The Baru nuts and sesame seeds give it a wonderful flavor. The sesame flavor will be stronger the darker you toast the sesame seeds. Ceylon cinnamon is optional, but a great addition. I didn't add ground toasted coconut, but is is also a great addition.
I've been eating Baru nuts for a few years now. The remind me of a low-fat dark toasted peanut. If you have not had them, I recommend giving them a try..
I recommend trying to use this recipe as an ingredient in some of your other recipes. I have not tried it yet, but it may be a great substitution for the butter and sugar-cinnamon mixture in the recipe I posted for Sourdough Cinnamon Bread.
